If you’ve been here before, you know my posts do not at all hide my struggles. However, I do try to be positive and uplifting, because (let’s be honest) there’s enough sadness and negativity in this world.
However, life happens. We go through times of transition, grief, conflict, setbacks, and new challenges. Personally, I feel like I’m stuck in one of those tough times. I’ve been fighting with myself the last six months.
There’s an evident difference in my attitude this time around than in the past. Candidly – I’ve been in full blown denial, reluctant to change, negative, and doubtful. Even I can clearly see this doesn’t help the bottom line.
I’m not saying this to get pity from anyone, but to remind myself that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s mote like walking in a river barefoot over slippery rocks. Your patience is tested. It can be challenging, uncomfortable, potentially painful & pretty boring. But once you get to the other side, you’ve learned to balance, endeavor the pain, and persevere.
So what quality did I utilize in the past, that (for one reason or another) I’m not putting into practice now?
Embracing Today: simply letting it be & accepting as is.
I’m using today to step back and accept that I’m in the place I’m meant to be in. My time will come. My only responsibility right now is to create the game play, execute the steps, embrace today, and have hope.
