Goodbye August: I have to say this was probably the best, most adventurous, happiest, and freeing summer ever & I’m so sad it’s over! My 25th birthday was this month, and it gave me time to reflect and appreciate those around me.
- Lifestyle: A little shaky this month just because I was so out of my usual routine, and if you can’t tell by my past posts (here & here), I love myself a routine! My gym routine and eating habits suffered. I resorted to some old habits at times with a ‘F-it’ & ‘it is what it is’ attitude. Going into September, I want to remember this is just a speed bump and I will not remain here.
- Mind/Soul: I need to remember that things can’t always be perfect, but my mindset can stay positive and see me through the rough times.
- Career: Work has been pretty stressful again, another organizational change was announced. The past week was awful, work was at an all time peak for on the job stress for me. In September, I will try not let it affect my personal life. I’ve accepted that the industry I work in, this stuff happens and there will always be risk involved. Sometimes I just have to take a deep breath and let things go. I can’t change or control my fate completely, and very few things are worth being stressed out over.
- Social: I spent the first weekend vacationing with my parents in upstate Connecticut, then had visitors for my birthday weekend, then Boston, and lastly back to Connecticut to stay at my parents house! I’m definitely ready for some weeks of being a little more laid back.
Hello September: September has started out rocky, a little reason this post is late. Unfortunately, I suffered a setback in my BED recovery and put myself in an environment where I knew I would be many vulnerability factors acting against me. I would like to use the next few weeks to reflect back on this weekend and turn the slip into a learning opportunity. With ALL of this, every month that passes, I just want to be healthy and confident. I want to spend my time making memories and going on adventures with the people that really matter to me.
